Major streaming service announced subscription price increase. Again. The pattern repeats. Services start cheap then raise prices gradually. At what point does the price exceed value? Consumers are starting to question. Some switching to competitors. Some cancelling. The economics of streaming services are being tested. Can they sustain themselves? Do they need price increases for profitability? The market has limits. Eventually consumers choose. The value proposition needs to stay compelling or people leave.
