Hey everyone, I'm gearing up for summer and looking at waterproof gadgets. Between beach trips, pool days, and boating, I want stuff that can survive water, sand, and sun.

I've seen everything from waterproof Bluetooth speakers and headphones to watches, action cameras, and even smart wearables that survive a dunk. Are these things actually worth buying, or is it mostly hype? Any recommendations for gear that's actually durable?

I've been using a waterproof Bluetooth speaker all summer, and it's awesome. I got a model that floats in the pool and survived sand, sunscreen, and a minor splash from a kayak. Sound quality is surprisingly good for something so rugged.

The biggest advice: check the IP rating. IP67 or above means you can really dunk it without worry. Anything less is more "splash-proof" than fully waterproof

Waterproof tech is a must if you're doing anything outdoors in summer. I take my action camera snorkeling, kayaking, and even to the beach. The new models are tiny but shoot 4K video and live-stream to your phone. Seriously, capturing underwater footage used to be a hassle-it's effortless now.

Also, waterproof smartwatches are game-changers for swimmers. I use mine to track laps, heart rate, and even oxygen saturation without worrying about water damage

Honestly, I stick to waterproof headphones and speakers. The rest-watches, cameras, expensive gadgets-are nice but not essential unless you do a lot of water activities. A decent waterproof speaker can make a pool day amazing without breaking the bank.

For example, I grabbed a mid-range floating speaker, and it's held up great all season. Beats carrying a giant boombox or worrying about your phone near water

I like collecting waterproof gear for fun. My favorite new gadget this year is a waterproof phone case that doubles as a floating stand-you can watch videos in the pool without holding your phone. Also, some waterproof smart rings and fitness trackers are surprisingly robust.

If you want something practical + fun, I'd start with a speaker and headphones combo, then branch into cameras or wearable trackers if you want more advanced features

What no bookmark? Literally the first gadget since we invested the book. It's digital equivalent is now ubiquitous
Opinions are my own. Obviously. Dave
