Current gaming thread. Not what you plan to play or what you are excited about. What is in your console or loaded on your PC right now, how many hours in are you, and what is your honest take so far.

No format requirements. Two sentences or two paragraphs, whatever suits.

About 40 hours into a JRPG I started in April and I am still in what the game describes as the first half. The story has gotten significantly better since the opening hours but the pacing is a genuine test of patience.

A city builder I picked up in a sale that I have now spent more hours in than any game this year. The genre has a very specific appeal that I either feel or do not feel and this one has it completely.

Coming back to something I finished two years ago with new DLC available. The muscle memory came back within about 20 minutes. There is something genuinely pleasurable about returning to a world you know well.

Just started a narrative game that I bought because the writing reputation was excellent. Two hours in and I agree with the reputation. Not sure it is technically a game so much as interactive fiction but I do not think that matters.

Stuck on a boss in a souls-like that I have been fighting for about three sessions. Not rage-quitting yet. The design is fair enough that I know the problem is my execution not the game. This is how these games are supposed to feel.
Spurs till I die.

Nothing right now which is unusual for me. Finished something last week and nothing has grabbed my attention to start. These gaps always feel strange.
