This one is always going to cause arguments because overrated does not mean bad. A player can be excellent and still get talked about like they are the second coming of football. That is where the debate gets interesting.

For me, Jack Grealish is a name that comes up. Brilliant technically and clearly a talented player, but the hype around him sometimes feels bigger than the output. The price tag and media attention created impossible expectations.

Not sure I can call Grealish overrated. He has a role that is not always measured by goals and assists. Pep Guardiola clearly valued what he brought, even if fans wanted more highlight moments.

Marcus Rashford is probably one of the toughest ones to judge. At his best he looks unstoppable, but the gap between those performances and his quieter spells has been huge. Consistency is what separates good players from elite ones.

A controversial shout: Darwin Nunez. The ability is obvious, the physical tools are ridiculous, but some of the finishing decisions make you wonder how he manages to make simple chances look like a physics experiment.
