Thought I would throw this out there.

Real answers from people here are usually more useful than search results.

The obvious route might be right but I wanted to check before committing to it.

What do you reckon?

That lines up with what I found. Thanks for the thread. :)
I read every reply. Even the bad ones.

QuoteYep, agree with that. Legend. :)

Turned out alright in the end doing it that way. Once you do something once yourself you always know you can do it again.

Should be fine if you take your time. :P

Still waiting for a proper date before planning anything. The amount of people saying they will take a week off work is funny though. Then again, if this game is half as big as expected, disappearing for a few days might be the sensible option. ;)

The real question is whether everyone will actually get time to play or just spend the first week watching clips online because servers are busy.

The hype is getting massive, but that can be dangerous. People are building this perfect version in their heads and no game can match an imaginary version.

Still, Rockstar have earned some patience after the quality of their previous releases. A lot of studios would love to have that level of trust.

If it drops this year, my social life is in serious trouble. :D

There is always that one game where everyone says "just one more hour" and suddenly it is 3am.

Not convinced it is guaranteed. Rockstar are famous for taking their time, and I would rather see another delay than a rushed launch.

A polished game that arrives later is much better than a broken one arriving on schedule.

The funny part is people have been saying "this year" for ages. At this point GTA fans have developed their own calendar system based around rumours. ;D

Still, whenever it does arrive, the first few weeks are going to be absolutely everywhere.

A lot depends on what Rockstar want from launch. If they are aiming for another decade-long online experience, they will probably be very careful about getting the foundations right.

The pressure must be enormous because everyone expects it to redefine open world games.

The map and details are what interest me most. Graphics will obviously be impressive, but the little things are what made previous games memorable.

Random conversations, strange side missions and things happening when you are not looking are where Rockstar usually shines.
