For pure visual spectacle, Denis Villeneuve's Dune films are hard to beat. The scale of the landscapes, the sound design, and the way they make deserts feel like another planet are incredible.

Some films have impressive effects but still feel artificial. Dune has that rare thing where the visuals make the world feel physically real
