The show, based on Mick Herron's Slough House novels, follows the failures and rejects of MI5 who get a second chance through the cases nobody else wants to take.

The show has been quietly excellent for four seasons and is structurally more intelligent than anything else currently on television in the spy genre. If you have not watched it the trailer is the place to start and the first episode will do the rest.
