Been reading the same thing from a few different angles. The incentive structures in media mean certain angles get more coverage than they deserve.

Hard not to be impressed with what Itauma has shown so far. The biggest thing for me is that he rarely looks rushed, even when he has an opponent trying to drag him into a scrap.

The real test will come against someone who can take his best shots and keep asking questions for ten rounds or more. Until then, every performance is another piece of evidence that the hype might actually be justified.

People get carried away with heavyweight prospects, but this one feels a bit different. His footwork gets overlooked because everyone talks about the power.

A lot of young heavyweights stand in front of opponents and rely on size. Itauma seems happy to create angles first, which should help him as the level of opposition keeps improving.
