Who has the stronger squad right now, Arsenal or City?

What is the general feeling here?

This is a tough one because the answer depends on what people mean by stronger squad. If we are talking about the starting eleven, City still have that terrifying ability to control games and make top teams look ordinary.

The depth debate is much closer though. Arsenal have built a squad where replacing one player does not automatically mean panic stations. A few years ago an injury crisis would have ended their season, now they can actually compete through it.

Arsenal for me, mainly because their squad feels more balanced right now. City obviously have world class players everywhere, but sometimes their bench looks like a cheat code that should be removed from the game settings

The big thing with Arsenal is the hunger. A lot of that group are still trying to prove themselves and that can be dangerous. They play like they are chasing something instead of protecting something.

That said, never write off City. You can spend all season saying they are finished and then they casually win ten games in a row. It is becoming their favourite hobby.

I am leaning Arsenal. Their squad has a nice mix of experienced players and younger players who are improving every month.

Both squads are ridiculous compared to what most clubs can build. We are basically arguing whether the sports car with the bigger engine beats the sports car with better handling.

Arsenal have probably made the more impressive improvement because they were not at City's level and have pushed themselves there quickly.

I think the answer is Arsenal right now, but ask me again after a few big matches and I might change my mind. That is how close it feels.

City have the best manager and a squad full of players who know exactly what is required. Arsenal have a squad that looks increasingly complete and hungry.

The real winner is everyone watching because we get another season of people pretending they are calm while refreshing the league table every five minutes

I would say Arsenal have the stronger squad in terms of variety. They can win games in different ways now instead of needing everything to be perfect.

City are still incredible, but their system is so demanding that losing one or two key pieces can sometimes change how they play. Arsenal seem to have more flexibility.

Of course, saying City have weaknesses feels strange when their version of a bad season is what most clubs dream about.
