Who has the stronger squad right now, Arsenal or City?

Past results only tell part of the story at this level.

What is the general feeling here?

That actually makes sense to me. I came in thinking it was simpler than it is and now I am not sure of anything.

This is a tough one because the answer depends on what people mean by stronger squad. If we are talking about the starting eleven, City still have that terrifying ability to control games and make top teams look ordinary.

The depth debate is much closer though. Arsenal have built a squad where replacing one player does not automatically mean panic stations. A few years ago an injury crisis would have ended their season, now they can actually compete through it.

City are still the team everyone wants to knock off the mountain, but Arsenal are no longer just visitors taking photos at the summit

Arsenal for me, mainly because their squad feels more balanced right now. City obviously have world class players everywhere, but sometimes their bench looks like a cheat code that should be removed from the game settings

The big thing with Arsenal is the hunger. A lot of that group are still trying to prove themselves and that can be dangerous. They play like they are chasing something instead of protecting something.

That said, never write off City. You can spend all season saying they are finished and then they casually win ten games in a row. It is becoming their favourite hobby.

City still edge it in my opinion. People sometimes forget the level of consistency needed to win trophies every season. That squad has been through every possible situation and usually finds a solution.

Arsenal are closer than they have been for years though. The gap is not a canyon anymore, it is more like a small annoying puddle you have to jump over.

The interesting part is who handles injuries and pressure better. Having good players is one thing, keeping everyone calm when the title race gets tense is another.
