Manchester City kept their perfect start going with a 3-2 win over Ipswich Town at the Etihad. The club's match report says Enzo Maresca has made Premier League history as the first manager to win his first seven league games in charge of a club. City's seven straight wins also equal the club's best ever start to a league season, from 1897/98

Phil Foden opened the scoring on 19 minutes from a Jeremy Doku cutback. It was his first start since his red card in the Manchester derby. Ipswich responded just two minutes later, when Daizen Maeda got past Marc Guehi to equalise

Erling Haaland then took over. He scored on 34 minutes and again on 69, the second after holding off Abdoul Ouattara to meet Iliman Ndiaye's pass. He thought he had a hat trick too, but it was ruled out for offside

Ipswich made it nervy at the end. Zian Flemming scored a 90th minute penalty after Guehi fouled Abdul Fatawu. Christian Walton had made an early save from Ruben Dias, and Ndiaye hit the bar, so it could have been more comfortable for City

City stay top with a perfect record, and Arsenal can cut the gap to three points at Nottingham Forest on Sunday. Maresca's start has been outstanding, although conceding twice at home will give him something to work on. Ipswich deserve credit for keeping it close

Can City keep their perfect run going? And how impressive has Maresca's start been?
