Manchester City: Pep Guardiola succession plan and team rebuild
BBC Sport says Manchester City are already deep into a rebuild as uncertainty grows over how long Pep Guardiola will remain at the club. New signings, changes behind the scenes, and Hugo Viana taking over football operations all point to a club trying to prove its success is bigger than one manager. The hard part is that Guardiola is not just any manager, and replacing him means replacing a culture, a style, and a huge part of City's modern identity.

City are better placed than most clubs to manage a transition, but Guardiola leaving would still be massive.

The interesting part is recruitment. If players are still choosing City without a long-term Guardiola guarantee, that says the club machine is strong.

Viana has a huge job. Replacing a great sporting director and preparing for life after a great manager is not a small handover.
Blue is the colour.

I think City will stay powerful, but the aura changes when Guardiola goes. Nobody replaces him like-for-like.
