The biggest World Cup ever is nearly here. 48 teams, 104 matches, 39 days across the USA, Canada and Mexico. The group stage runs from June 11 to July 5 with the final at the New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19. England are in Group E with Germany. Brazil open against Morocco on June 13. Argentina are defending champions. Spain are ranked number one going in.

48 teams is too many. Half the group stage is going to be lopsided rubbish. But I will watch every single match anyway

France are the dark horse every tournament and they never quite do it. That changes this year, I am convinced of it

England vs Germany in the group stage is a gift. Either way it is appointment television

TheRizz00

Brazil vs Morocco on day 3 is already the best fixture of the group stage on paper

BigDog26

Argentina without Messi as a starter is a completely different proposition. The squad depth will be tested early
It's not a bug, it's a feature

Spain winning Group H containing Saudi Arabia, Cape Verde and Uruguay is the easy opener they need before things get serious
