Depends what you mean by worth upgrading to. If you are already listening regularly, a paid version can make sense for extras like ad free episodes, bonus discussions, or early access. If you only dip in for major stories, the free version is probably enough.

The big thing with political podcasts is whether the extra content actually adds value. Some subscriptions just give you more hours, but more hours does not always mean more useful information.
