The big upgrade question really comes down to what problem you are trying to solve. A £10 bottle that you actually remember to take everywhere can beat a fancy £50 one that sits in a cupboard looking impressive. My old bottle had one job and it failed because the lid leaked all over my bag twice. That was the upgrade reason right there

I would put easy cleaning above fancy colours, smart tracking or whatever extra features are being advertised this year. A bottle should not need a user manual and a software update to hold water.
