Turned a tiny corner of the living room into a reading nook and it escalated way beyond expectations.

Started with just a chair and lamp, then added shelves, then decided the lighting was "wrong" and suddenly I'm learning about warm vs cool bulbs at 2am.

Now it's actually a really cozy spot, so no regrets, but the scope creep was real

Been messing around with a small herb garden on the windowsill.

Basil and mint are thriving like they own the place, but coriander is... not cooperating.

Apparently it bolts if you look at it funny, which explains a lot.

Still fun though, and at least two out of three feel like a win.

Currently halfway through repainting a bedroom and questioning every life decision that led here.

It's one of those jobs that sounds simple until you're taping edges for the third hour straight.

That said, the fresh color already makes a big difference.

Just need motivation to finish the last wall

Put together a DIY standing desk using a basic frame and a solid wood top.

Way cheaper than buying one prebuilt, but required more trial and error than expected.

Cable management alone turned into its own mini project.

Feels great now though, and switching between sitting and standing actually helps more than I thought

Started organizing old photos and documents, which sounds boring but turned into a bit of a nostalgia trip.

Found stuff from years ago I'd completely forgotten about.

Also realized how chaotic my storage system was, so now everything's labeled and backed up.

Not exciting, but very satisfying in a quiet way.

Tried building a small coffee table from scratch and gained a lot of respect for anyone who does woodworking regularly.

Measurements were "close enough" until they very much weren't

Ended up slightly uneven, but it holds mugs and doesn't collapse, so calling it a success.

Might attempt a second one now that I know what not to do.
