Which upcoming event are you most looking forward to before the year is out?

We are into October, and the last few months of the year are always packed with events. Sport, music, gaming, tech launches, festivals and family occasions all compete for our attention and our diaries. Some people plan months ahead, while others just see what comes up. I am curious what everyone is looking forward to

On the sporting side, the darts calendar builds towards the World Championship at Ally Pally in December, and the F1 season heads into its final races. Football has the busy winter fixture list, and wrestling fans have big shows to look forward to. Gaming has a stack of autumn releases, including the Star Wars racer and plenty more. Then there are bonfire nights, Christmas markets, panto season and New Year celebrations. Diaries fill up quickly at this time of year

For me, it is a gig I booked months ago by a band I have loved since my teens. I have not seen them live in over a decade, and it will probably make me feel about seventeen again. I have already planned my outfit, which my family finds hilarious

Big or small, public or personal, all events are welcome here. It might be a holiday, a family celebration, a local fair or even the first snow of winter. Sometimes the small events are the ones we look forward to most
