That works in theory but the prep is more involved than it sounds. Measure twice and all that, but also factor in that it always takes longer than you think.

Take your time with it and it will come out well.

Turned out alright in the end doing it that way. Usually the annoying part is not the job itself, it is fixing the bit you did not plan for.
