[bug] Dark Mode Not Persisting on Mobile - Anyone Else

The dark mode toggle on mobile has been behaving strangely for the past week or so. It applies correctly initially but then reverts to light mode on page reload, requiring a manual re-toggle every session. This is specifically on mobile browsers, desktop seems unaffected.

Is this a known issue and is there a workaround while a fix is in progress? Am on Android with Chrome but have also seen it reported from iOS users in another thread.

Same issue on iOS with Safari. Started about a week ago. Dark mode preference is not persisting between sessions

Have not experienced this on Android with Firefox so it may be browser-specific rather than platform-specific

Check if the browser is blocking cookies or local storage for this domain. The preference is usually stored in local storage and if that is being cleared on session end it would explain the revert

This started for me after a recent browser update. Clearing the browser cache sometimes helps but does not fix the underlying persistence issue

The desktop version stores the preference server-side so it persists. Mobile may be relying on local storage which is more vulnerable to browser privacy settings
