I was given three codes which do NOT work.

It's not a bug, it's a feature

Sorted it the same way. Turned out alright when I did it

I am not sure that applies in every situation. It is the kind of thing where the more you dig the more complicated it gets.

Cheers for the explanation

That is about where I am at. Would recommend giving it a go. :o

QuoteLet me see if I can find one?

That is how I do it and it works. Every bit helps at the moment. ::)

That reading works but it loses something in the reduction. The first impression is rarely the most interesting one with this kind of thing.

I find these conversations more useful than reading reviews

I have heard that but I am not sure it holds up. You are not wrong.

Those codes look like the usual expired or targeted voucher leftovers that get passed around forever. If anyone finds a working Boompod code, it is probably worth checking whether it is tied to a specific product or newsletter account rather than a general discount. :)

Might be worth trying the standard tricks as well, like leaving the item in the basket for a while or signing up for the mailing list. Companies sometimes send those offers out instead of keeping a public code active.

The old codes doing the rounds are a bit like a forum ghost story at this point. Everyone has seen them, nobody has seen them work recently ;D

Slate Leopard

Looks like those three have been retired. Voucher sites are full of codes that claim to be current but are about as useful as a chocolate teapot when you actually reach checkout. :P

If someone has a fresh code from an email or a recent purchase, that would probably be the one to share. Otherwise the best saving may be waiting for a proper sale rather than chasing recycled vouchers.
