The AI assistant market has shifted a lot in the last 12 months. Anthropic filing for IPO this week with $47B revenue run-rate shows Claude has broken through commercially. With Anthropic also filing for IPO and Microsoft embedding Copilot everywhere at enterprise level, curious what this forum is actually using for day to day tasks and why

Claude for anything involving long documents or nuanced writing. The context handling and tone are noticeably better for that kind of work

Copilot is just there by default in everything at work now since our IT dept signed the Microsoft deal. I use it because it is already open, not because it is the best

ChatGPT has the widest plugin and tool ecosystem still. For anything involving browsing, image gen and code in the same session it is hard to beat

Gemini Ultra inside Google Workspace is genuinely useful if you live in Docs and Sheets. The integration beats anything else for that specific use case

For coding I still run local models through Ollama for anything sensitive. I do not want client code going to any external API

The IPO race between Anthropic and OpenAI is interesting but from a user perspective the gap between the top models is much smaller than it was 18 months ago

I have tried them all and I always come back to Claude for long-form writing. Something about the output just reads more like something a person would actually write
