Anthropic filed confidentially for a US IPO this morning, June 1. The company last raised $65B at a post-money valuation of ~$965B in late May. Honeywell-backed Quantinuum also filed last week targeting mid-June listing. Three major AI/quantum companies racing to public markets simultaneously.

The filing was confidential meaning terms are not yet public. Anthropic built its position largely on Claude Code, which now drives significant enterprise revenue from deployments at KPMG, PwC, and others at scale.

Anthropic filing before OpenAI is the surprise. Prediction markets had OpenAI going first. The confidential filing means terms will emerge weeks before the actual listing

A company that reached profitability for the first time in Q2 filing for an IPO is a different story from a cash-burning startup going public out of necessity. The timing is chosen, not forced

Claude Code driving the enterprise revenue that made profitability possible is the product thesis working exactly as Dario Amodei described. Developer tools at premium pricing with measurable productivity output

SpaceX, Quantinuum, Anthropic, and OpenAI all targeting public markets in a compressed window is the finite investor capital problem that CNBC flagged last week. Each listing competes for the same allocation

The confidential filing is standard SEC process for emerging growth companies. It lets Anthropic get feedback from institutional investors before setting terms publicly
