General managers have been part of wrestling TV for decades. Some were brilliant, adding drama and humour to every show, while others felt like they were just reading the card off a sheet of paper. With so many legends now retired, it is interesting to think about who would make the best authority figure on a modern show

Some names seem obvious. Stone Cold Steve Austin would be fun, with his beer drinking and attitude. Mick Foley has experience and charisma, and Teddy Long's tag team match catchphrase is still loved. Edge and Christian would bring comedy, while someone like Kurt Angle would add enthusiasm and plenty of silliness

Then there are the more unusual picks. Paul Heyman as a general manager would be cunning and unpredictable. The Undertaker would make every decision feel dramatic. Trish Stratus or Lita could bring credibility to a women's division, while someone like Booker T or Arn Anderson would add old school authority

Think about whether they would be a good guy, a heel or somewhere in between. The best general managers create storylines, not just announce matches

Who would you appoint as general manager, and which show would they run?
Works on my machine :D
