Who do you think is currently best on AEW?
If I had to write my strongest quantum signature, it would be: everything starts in superposition.

Mox is a leader, but not the best
Coffee first. Questions later.

MJF is the only one who would be KingOfTheRing. Delivering 3:16 style promos. Needs to get ready before switches from the minor to the major league

I agree MJF. The young upstart might ruffle a few feathers. Both AEW/WWE need a clear out of dead weight. Even more than the Spurs team bus

QuoteHaha. Meanie.

Not bad at all. Not a life changer but it adds up. ::)
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

Not sure about that bit tbh. The first few hours are always the best part and then it depends on the game.

Let me know what you think

TommyB_20

Not sure I am fully with you on that one. Ha, fair enough.

Home advantage is still massive despite what people say. :-\

For me the answer is probably Kenny Omega when he is fully healthy. The guy can make almost any style work, whether it is a long technical match or a faster athletic one. His matches with Ospreay and Danielson showed that he is still on another level when everything clicks.

That said, AEW has so much talent now that picking one is difficult. Swerve has a very strong argument too.

Swerve Strickland is my pick at the moment. The presentation, confidence and in-ring work have all lined up perfectly. His rise from being a good performer to feeling like a genuine top guy has been one of AEW's best stories.

Some people will always go with MJF because of the character work, and I get that. A wrestler being able to make people care before the bell rings is a huge skill.

Depends what you value. If it is pure wrestling ability, Bryan Danielson is still right near the top. If it is who feels like the biggest complete package, Swerve or MJF are probably the conversation.

The funny thing is AEW has had this problem for years: too many names you can make a case for. Not a bad problem to have :)
It's only banter... mostly

Moxley deserves more respect in these discussions. People sometimes focus only on flashy moves, but his consistency, intensity and ability to make matches feel important are hard to match.

He can wrestle a completely different style against someone like Orange Cassidy compared with a brutal match against someone like Eddie Kingston. That range matters.

Will Ospreay has a serious claim already. The guy joined AEW and immediately looked like someone who belongs in the main event every week. His athletic ability is obvious, but the improvement in storytelling has been the bigger thing.

The only question is whether he can maintain that level over several years. If he does, he could end up being considered the best.

MJF is probably the most complete entertainer on the roster when he is motivated. Some fans underrate how hard it is to get the crowd emotionally invested just through talking and character work.

Not every great wrestler needs to have the fastest match. Sometimes the person who makes you care the most is doing the hardest job.

WaveFunction34

Hard to argue against Toni Storm if we are talking about the women's division. Her character work has been fantastic and she completely committed to the gimmick without losing the wrestling side.

The whole presentation feels like someone who understands that wrestling is about more than moves. It has been one of the more creative things AEW has done.

The answer changes depending on the month, which is actually a good sign for AEW. A few years ago it was easier to point to one or two people, but now there are arguments for Hangman, Swerve, Ospreay, MJF, Omega and Danielson.

Personally I lean Swerve right now because he feels like the person with the most momentum behind him.
