The Bayley situation lurking in the background of all this AEW coverage is fascinating given the timing. Her WWE deal reportedly expiring right as AEW is putting on its biggest show of the year creates an obvious opportunity for AEW to make a real splash signing if she actually becomes available. She's accomplished essentially everything there is to accomplish in WWE at this point in her career. A fresh start in a different promotion, with a different creative team building new stories around her, would be a genuinely interesting next chapter for someone at that stage
