So apparently we have reached the stage where mainstream news channels are running segments on what to know before the wedding of the century, and the rumour of the week is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tying the knot at Madison Square Garden. Nothing officially confirmed on venue or date as far as I can tell, which has stopped precisely nobody from planning their watch parties

The scale of this thing is what fascinates me. Reporters describing themselves as Swifties on air, fans around the world preparing like it is a royal wedding, and every detail leak getting treated like a papal announcement. Whatever you think of the couple, we do not really have shared cultural events anymore, and this has accidentally become one

MSG as a venue rumour is objectively funny though. Twenty thousand seat arena wedding, presumably with a tunnel walk. Part of me hopes it is true purely for the spectacle
