There are trailers that look expensive, and then there are trailers that make you think, yes, I want to sit in a dark room with a huge screen for this one. That feeling is getting rarer for me, but when it happens it still works.

I am curious what has grabbed people lately. Was it the story, the cast, the music, the visuals, or just the old fashioned cinema feeling of something big coming soon?

I still think a good trailer should suggest a mood rather than explain the whole film. When it gives away every joke, every twist, and half the ending, I feel like I have already watched the thing
It's only banter... mostly

A trailer has to give me atmosphere more than plot. I do not need three minutes of story beats, I just need to feel the tone

I rarely trust trailers now because they are edited to make everything look like the biggest film of the year

For me it is the music. A great trailer track can make even an average looking film seem exciting

I am more likely to go to the cinema for horror or science fiction. Dramas I usually wait to stream
Measure twice, post once

The best trailers are the ones that leave me with questions instead of giving me answers
