That is genuinely helpful, cheers. I usually have to read something two or three times before it clicks properly.

That is genuinely useful
My team is always one signing away

Jarvis

That is the approach I always take now. Once you do something once yourself you always know you can do it again.

Should be fine if you take your time

IronWolf

That resonates with me. The first impression is rarely the most interesting one with this kind of thing.

Curious what others make of it
It's not a bug, it's a feature

BlueFalcon

I got to the same conclusion a different way but yes. The problem with most advice online is it assumes a clean install which most machines are not.

Happy to help further if you get stuck

QuoteOh Tom.

That works in theory but the prep is more involved than it sounds. Should be fine if you take your time. 8)

Turned out alright in the end doing it that way. Happy to answer questions if you get stuck

CosmicRay40

Keep an eye on it, yes. I will keep an eye on it

I am always wary when something sounds amazing at first glance. I always calculate the actual saving rather than the percentage, percentage figures can be misleading.

Good to know about

Craig

For some reason that framing works well. Happy to keep discussing this

That works if you are disciplined about it, most people are not. I would only bother if the saving is real and not just headline nonsense.

Not a life changer but it adds up

VoidSentinel

There is something true in that that is hard to articulate. There is a bit more nuance to it once you sit with it for a while.

Happy to keep discussing this

I have had mixed results with that approach. Let us know how it goes. :'(
RTFM and then ask

That matches what the more reliable sources are saying. From what I have seen the gap between headlines and reality is still pretty wide.

Worth keeping an eye on
All original content unless stated

NinaVrina

I have had mixed results with that approach. I always check temperatures and disk health first before anything else.

Worth trying before anything more drastic
VAR can do one

From what I saw that checks out. This feels like one of those topics where the longer term effect matters more than the daily noise.

Interesting to see where it goes

CantComplain12

The soundtrack snippet in the trailer was lowkey the best part.

It had that hopeful but slightly sad tone that fits Peter perfectly at this stage

Ava12

I'm just glad Spider-Man is still getting movies at all at this point.

We've had worse eras for superhero films, so I'm trying to stay grateful

Joel96

I'm a bit skeptical honestly.

Trailers can be misleading, and Marvel has burned people with hype before. I'll wait for reviews before getting too excited

RogueDepot

Honestly the trailer for Brand New Day looks like they're finally letting Peter grow up a bit.

I liked the tone shift. It feels a bit more grounded compared to the multiverse chaos we've had lately. Still early days, but I'm cautiously optimistic

BlackMamba35

The trailer editing was actually pretty well done compared to some recent MCU ones.

No major spoilers, just enough to get people talking without giving away the whole plot

BretHart

Honestly I just want a good Peter Parker story again.

Not Iron Man Jr, not multiverse anchor, just a guy trying to pay rent and save the day

Bright Hermit

I just hope they don't overstuff it with villains again.

That's been my biggest issue with recent Spider-Man entries. Too many moving parts, not enough focus on Peter himself

Arty Scout

The villain tease was interesting but also very vague.

Which is probably intentional, but I hope it's not another case of great setup, weak payoff
ISA maxed. Costs minimised.

Outlaw92

I feel like people forget how inconsistent trailers can be.

Remember when some trailers looked amazing and the movie ended up mid? I'm trying not to get carried away

Coder22

If nothing else, the tone feels more emotionally mature.

Peter actually looks like he's dealing with consequences instead of just bouncing from one crisis to another
Normal is overrated

Dank15

I'm already seeing people arguing about whether this is better than the last trilogy.

Can we maybe wait until the movie actually exists before crowning or burying it? Just a thought

Compass

I saw someone say this feels like a "reset after chaos" movie and that actually fits perfectly.

Sometimes you need a story that slows everything down before building up again

Rogue Sam

Hot take: Spider-Man works best when the stakes are personal, not world-ending.

So if Brand New Day is really about rebuilding his life, I'm all in

RomanReigns

My only worry is they're trying to please too many audiences at once.

Fans want grounded Spider-Man, studio wants big spectacle, and those two things don't always mix well

HeartbreakKidOscar97

Not gonna lie, I'm just happy we're getting a Spider-Man film that isn't immediately about saving the entire multiverse again.

Let the guy breathe a bit. Friendly neighborhood Spidey is what made the character work in the first place

Dom_8

I'm seeing mixed reactions online but I thought the trailer was actually pretty strong.

The cinematography looks tighter, and there's a bit more emotional weight hinted at instead of just constant CGI overload
Currently losing at something

FinnHalliday

People are overthinking it already like always.

It's a trailer. Not a full thesis on the future of the MCU. Let them cook before declaring it peak or trash

ThreadNecro11

Did anyone else notice the darker tone compared to the last film?

Feels like they're leaning into consequences more than jokes this time, which is interesting if they stick with it
Somewhere between inspired and overwhelmed

TheGame

The suit design in the trailer actually looks really clean.

Simple, more comic accurate vibes without going too flashy. I think that alone sold me more than anything else

Protocol

I'm curious how they're handling continuity after everything that happened before.

They've reset so much that it almost feels like a soft reboot at this point

Leopard85

The action shots looked solid but not overdone, which is a good sign.

Sometimes less is more with Spider-Man choreography and they seem to be getting that here

Tia88

If they actually commit to a more grounded tone, this could be the best Spider-Man since the original Tobey era.

Big if, though. Marvel loves pulling the rug into multiverse territory
Not financial advice. Not medical advice. Just vibes.

SpinState52

I kind of liked the quieter moments in the trailer more than the action.

Peter just sitting there looking exhausted felt more real than any CGI fight scene
COYB — you know who you are

TechPriest

I'll reserve judgment, but I did get that small "this might actually hit" feeling from the trailer.

Could be wrong, but it's enough to keep me interested for now

Aura49

At the end of the day it's still Spider-Man, so I'm watching it regardless.

But yeah, this trailer actually did its job for once instead of just showing explosions for two minutes straight
