New films seem to arrive on streaming faster than ever, so I keep wondering how many people still feel the cinema is worth it. The ticket, the snacks, the parking, and the people talking behind you can turn a night out into an expensive gamble.

At the same time, some films clearly feel different on a big screen. A huge action scene, a horror jump scare, or even a quiet drama with a packed audience can create a mood that the sofa cannot quite copy.

So where are you now? Do you still make the effort for big releases, or has home viewing quietly won?
Just here for the craic :)

I still love the cinema, but I am much more selective. It has to feel like a proper big screen film now

Prices have made me cut back a lot. I used to go casually, now I only go if I really care about the film

Home viewing is convenient, but it is also full of distractions. I like being forced to actually watch the film

Bad audiences are what put me off more than the price. Phones lighting up everywhere ruins it

For horror, cinema wins every time. Watching with a nervous crowd is half the fun
Works on my machine :D
