VB

Been looking for something new and this came up.

Real answers from people here are usually more useful than search results.

I suspect the answer is more nuanced than it first looks, which is why I wanted to ask people who have been there. ::)

Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?
The truth is usually more complicated than the headline

VB

Exactly what I found. Still playing it tbh.

Good shout. Could not agree more.

Nice one.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

VB

Pretty much my experience. Let me know what you think. :P

Solid point, that matches what I ran into. I keep a list of what I do to every fresh install so I can repeat it without thinking.

Start there and see if it makes a difference.

Quanta

I thought that too until I actually tried it. The amount of time people spend on complicated fixes when the answer is usually a startup item is remarkable.

Worth trying before anything more drastic.

That works in theory but the prep is more involved than it sounds. The difference between a good job and a messy one is usually just patience.

Should be fine if you take your time.

QuantumDay

Makes sense. I know exactly what you mean.

Cheers for sharing.
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

One-One-Five

That is exactly it. Classic.

Cheers for sharing. ;D

Not worth cutting corners on that part. The cheap fix usually costs more in the end when it fails.

Let us know how it turns out.

That works until it does not. Worth ruling out the simple stuff before going further.

Should sort it if the basics are fine.

There is something else going on in it I think. This is exactly the kind of conversation I come here for.

Sorted it the same way. Once you do something once yourself you always know you can do it again.

Turned out alright when I did it.

Okay that makes more sense than what I had in my head. Going to look that up properly.

Faded Owen

Not fully convinced by that part of it. The amount of time people spend on complicated fixes when the answer is usually a startup item is remarkable.

Post back with what you find and we can go from there.

Owen84

Same here tbh. Definitely worth picking up. :D

Ended up in the same place, yeah. Turned out alright when I did it.

People are always quick to write someone off after one bad performance. Injuries change everything and people forget to factor that in.

Time will tell on this one.

Dark Hawk

Not sure about that part. Good thread.

Thanks for the thread.

Finley

Fair enough. I had something similar happen.

Cheers for sharing. :D
