I want something reliable for phones, tablets and maybe a USB C laptop. Is it worth paying more for a high output model?

Yes, if you want laptop charging, look for high wattage USB C output rather than just huge battery size. I would look at Anker 737 Power Bank because it has proper high output charging
It's not a bug, it's a feature

For travel, I would rather buy one good branded power bank than two cheap ones. The display on Anker 737 Power Bank is useful because you can actually see what is going in and out

Check airline limits before flying, because big power banks can cause problems if they are over the allowed capacity

If it is mostly for phones, it may be overkill, but for laptops and handheld consoles it makes a lot more sense

Couldn't agree more. Same here honestly.
