Been thinking about this one properly.

The stats back one argument but the eye test says something different.

Background: I have been going back and forth on this for a while and wanted a reality check from people who know.

I found the same thing. Most people just accept the standard rate and wonder why they are not getting ahead.

There is something true in that that is hard to articulate. I find the most honest reactions come out a while after the initial response settles.
