There is something about poetry that suits the hour when the world becomes quieter. Novels ask you to keep moving forward, but poetry lets you stop. One page can be enough.

Late at night, poems seem to expand differently. A line that looked ordinary in daylight suddenly carries weight when the room is silent and your thoughts are louder than usual.

Do you read poetry late at night, or do you prefer it during calmer moments in the day? I sometimes think poetry belongs more to midnight than morning.
