One thing that keeps putting me off EVs is the battery lifespan.

You hear different things everywhere.

Some say they last 10+ years, others say performance drops quickly.

For anyone with an older EV, how has the battery held up?

From what I've seen, they degrade slowly rather than suddenly failing.

Most manufacturers also give long warranties on batteries now.

Unless you're keeping the car for a very long time, it's probably less of an issue than people think.

I would wait for a bit more before concluding that. The speed of the news cycle means most things get forgotten before they are properly resolved.

I will keep following it.

Yeah that sounds about right. For me it came down to whether I kept going back to it after the first week.
