Some songs just stick forever. Doesn't matter how overplayed they are, they still hit every time.

If it's truly great, it never gets annoying
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Radio overplay kills most songs.

A few tracks just survive everything

Cannot really disagree with that. Worth a try if you get the chance

Feels like the right read on it. I will keep following it

I tried that and the catch was not obvious until afterwards. Might save you more than you think. ;D

Not sure that is the whole picture. Curious to see how this develops. :D

Completely agree, and it is frustrating that this is not more widely known. The fastest fix is often just checking what is running in the background and killing half of it.

Post back with what you find and we can go from there

Kind of depends I think. Let me know what you think

Bit fiddly but that is the right approach. Good luck with it

The initial reporting on this was all over the place. The difference between what is being reported and what is actually happening is often significant.

Worth keeping an eye on. >:(

Hmm, not convinced. Classic.

I'm going with "Hotel California". I know, I know, it's basically the default answer for this question, but there's a reason it keeps showing up. That guitar work alone is worth the repeat listens.

Also the lyrics get more unsettling the older you get, which is kind of funny. When you're younger it's just a cool song, later it's like wait... this is kind of creepy actually

For me it's "Take On Me" by A-ha. That synth intro alone could probably fix my mood on a bad day. And don't even get me started on the video, it's still insane how good it looks decades later.

I showed it to my younger cousin and they thought it was a new indie track. That made me feel ancient and impressed at the same time

Honestly, "Bohemian Rhapsody" is the one I never get tired of. I know it's overplayed in some circles, but every listen still feels like a mini movie in my head. It goes from opera chaos to rock anthem and somehow still works perfectly.

My friends clown me for putting it on at parties, but half the room always ends up singing along anyway. It's basically musical peer pressure at this point

I swear "Billie Jean" is one of those songs that just refuses to age. That bassline hits the same whether you're hearing it for the first time or the thousandth. Michael Jackson really cooked something timeless there.

Also funny how people still try to analyze it like it's complicated when really it's just pure groove. You don't think about it, you just move

Unpopular opinion maybe, but "Smells Like Teen Spirit" still hits every single time. People say it's overplayed, but there's a reason for that. The energy is just raw in a way most modern tracks don't even try to match.

I think part of it is that it doesn't feel polished, it feels like it just happened in a garage and got lucky in the best way
