Concerts used to feel more temporary somehow. You experienced the moment and then it lived mostly in memory. Now every gig instantly becomes hundreds of glowing phone screens recording the same chorus.

I understand wanting to capture a favourite song, but there are times when the crowd feels more focused on filming proof that they were there than actually being there.

Has phone culture changed live music for better or worse in your opinion?

It's only banter... mostly

A few clips are fine, but filming an entire concert seems pointless to me

Some people experience life through their screen now and it definitely changes the atmosphere

Live music still feels special when the crowd is really connected to the performance

The best gigs are the ones where everyone forgets about recording for a while

I think artists notice it too. Some performers seem more guarded because everything is instantly online
