There are loads of AI tools around now but most feel impressive for five minutes.

The gap between the demo and daily use is usually much bigger than people admit.

Looking for genuine experience rather than what sounds good on paper.

Worth discussing properly
Opinions are my own. Obviously.

That lines up with what I have been seeing. Should sort it if the basics are fine.

I trust recommendations from people who have actually used it over a month, not first impressions

That is about where I am at. Let me know what you think

People are always quick to write someone off after one bad performance. Home advantage is still massive and gets written off too easily.

Not bad at all. Worth doing even if the saving is small.

The free tier is usually enough unless you have a very specific workflow

There is definitely some overhype, especially when every new tool is presented as if it will replace an entire job overnight. The reality is usually much less dramatic. A tool that saves someone twenty minutes a day is still valuable, even if it does not change civilisation by next Tuesday.

The boring improvements are often the ones that stick around.

A lot of the disappointment comes from comparing polished demos to everyday use. A demo shows the perfect prompt and perfect result, while real life involves messy files, unclear instructions, and weird edge cases.

That does not mean AI is useless. It just means the marketing is running faster than the practical experience.

Some people are too negative about it though. We have seen this pattern with new technology before. Early versions are clumsy, then suddenly people realise they have quietly become part of normal workflows.
