I wonder how many people still sue them. Obviously Itunes was crap. But the ipod itself was remarkable device for its time. Its becoming retro now to upgrade them.  Show yours off
The truth is usually more complicated than the headline

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

From what I have seen the gap between headlines and reality is still pretty wide. Curious to see how this develops
git commit -m "fixed everything"

I got to the same conclusion a different way but yes. I always start with the free and non-destructive fixes before considering anything drastic.

Yeah that is the sensible route. When I ran into something similar the biggest improvement came from stripping things back and checking the obvious basics first.

Should sort it if the basics are fine

That is the sensible approach. Cheers for sharing that

Turned out alright in the end doing it that way. I find the YouTube tutorials are better than any written guide for the tricky bits.

Worth doing it properly rather than rushing it

Fair enough. I had something similar happen.

Legend. :o

Not sure I fully follow that part. That helps a lot actually

Not sure

I am not sure that is always the case. Good to hear other people's experience

Bit fiddly but that is the right approach. I always do a test run on something less important before committing to the main job.

I am always wary when something sounds amazing at first glance. I set a calendar reminder to check rates every three months and it saves me a fair bit.

Worth doing even if the saving is small

Been following this thread and that seems right. Good thread.

Thanks for the thread

Just wondering if there is another angle on that. That helps a lot actually. :P

Agree, and the implications are bigger than most people realise. I will update this thread if anything significant changes. :)

Ended up in the same place, yeah. I always do a test run on something less important before committing to the main job.

I had been looking at it the wrong way I think. Appreciate the detail. :)

That works until it does not. Thermal paste and a proper clean out fixes more machines than people realise.

Should sort it if the basics are fine

Exactly what I was thinking. The psychological side of sport is massively underrated in these conversations.

Interested to see where this goes

Feels like the right read on it. That is my read on it anyway

Agree with that. Glad someone asked this.

Appreciate the discussion

I thought that too until I actually tried it. A lot of guides overcomplicate it, usually one or two sensible changes do most of the work.

Post back with what you find and we can go from there
