Topic: Could quantum networking eventually create a new kind of internet?   Views(Read 45 times)

This article discussed experimental quantum networking research and the idea of extremely secure communication systems built around quantum entanglement.

The concept sounds almost fictional, but researchers apparently continue making gradual progress.

What interests me most is whether quantum networking eventually changes the architecture of communication itself or simply becomes specialised infrastructure for governments and large institutions.

Do people think quantum networking eventually affects normal internet users or will it remain mostly invisible infrastructure?

Cashback on everything or it didn't happen

Most infrastructure revolutions become invisible to ordinary users eventually

The security implications alone make governments extremely interested in this research

Quantum internet headlines always sound like science fiction movie marketing
Posted from a machine that definitely needs a clean install

Part of me suspects average people will never notice directly.

They will simply use services built on top of improved infrastructure

The technical side is fascinating even if deployment takes decades
Works on my machine :D

I think secure communication becomes increasingly valuable as AI generated deception and cyber attacks keep improving
