Hey all, I'm thinking about getting a smartwatch or fitness tracker for running and gym workouts. Are the newer devices really worth it, or can I stick with an older model?

If you're serious about training, the newer smartwatches are incredible. Heart rate, oxygen saturation, VO2 max, and sleep tracking are way more accurate now, plus AI coaching suggestions are actually useful

Older models still work fine for basic steps, distance, and calories burned. If you don't care about the new AI metrics, you could save a lot of money sticking with last year's version

Makes sense. I'll probably upgrade for the AI coaching features since I want to actually improve my running pace
