Bee, the AI wearable company Amazon bought last year, has launched its first new products since the deal. TechCrunch's Sarah Perez reports that there are two devices. The Bee Frontier costs $74.99 and can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, while the Bee Eclipse costs $99.99 and attaches magnetically to the back of a phone

The Frontier is water resistant to IP67, lasts up to seven days on a charge, uses USB-C and has two noise filtering microphones. It is on sale now on Amazon in Onyx, Lavender and Sage. The credit card sized Eclipse arrives shortly afterwards

Both devices record everyday conversations and turn them into summaries, to do lists and calendar invites. Free use includes summaries with 14 days of memory. A Bee Pro subscription at $11.99 a month adds unlimited summaries and links to Amazon.com, Alexa+ and other apps

Privacy is the obvious question with any always listening device, and Bee has clearly thought about it. The company says it does not store raw audio. Transcripts are encrypted with keys held on the device, so even Amazon staff cannot read them unless the user chooses to share them

At these prices, Bee undercuts rivals such as the Plaud Note at $159. For people who live in meetings or struggle to remember what was agreed, an automatic note taker could be very handy. The key will be whether people around the wearer are comfortable with being recorded

Would you wear an AI device that records your conversations? And should wearers have to tell people they are recording?
