Not talking lifelong hobbies here, more the stuff that came out of nowhere in the last twelve months and somehow stuck around longer than you expected. Could be a show, a sport, a random skill, anything you wouldn't have predicted for yourself at the start of the year

Curious whether these surprise interests tend to fade after a few months for most people or if they genuinely stick the way the old reliable hobbies do. Feels like there's something different about the ones that catch you off guard compared to the ones you deliberately set out to learn
