Every enthusiast has one, the piece of equipment bought at peak excitement for a hobby that then quietly stalled, sitting untouched in a cupboard or garage as a small monument to a version of yourself that meant well. Tell us what it was, how much enthusiasm went into buying it, and what actually happened to the hobby

The pattern worth examining honestly, was the equipment itself the problem, wrong choice, too advanced too soon, or was the hobby simply never going to stick regardless of what you bought, because those are two very different lessons and conflating them leads to buying the wrong replacement gear for the next enthusiasm as well

There is a real financial and emotional weight to these graveyards that deserves acknowledgment, the money spent chasing an identity that did not fully materialise, and also a gentler reading, that trying and abandoning something is not failure, it is information about yourself gathered the only way it could actually be gathered, by attempting it

So confess your graveyard item, what it cost you in money and hope, your honest diagnosis of whether the gear or the hobby itself was the actual problem, and the harder question, is it still sitting there because you might genuinely go back, or purely because getting rid of it feels like admitting something you would rather not admit
