Is a high refresh rate monitor actually worth it for non-gamers?

For programming, the smoother scrolling alone was enough for me to notice. Long files, terminals, and documentation pages all feel nicer to move through.

Would not call it essential though. Good lighting, a comfortable chair, and a properly positioned monitor probably improve the experience more than chasing refresh rate numbers.
