What is a good alternative to best ad blocker in July '26?

For context I have been on forums for a long time and this comes up differently here than elsewhere.

Been using uBlock Origin for years and it is still the first thing I install on any browser. It is lightweight, does not feel like it is trying to sell me something, and gives you plenty of control if you want to dig deeper.

The only downside is that some people install it and never update filter lists, then wonder why things slip through. A little maintenance goes a long way.
