This article explored research into AI driven persuasion systems and personalised communication strategies.

That sounds useful in harmless contexts like education or mental health support, but also potentially dangerous in advertising, politics and manipulation.

Humans are already vulnerable to recommendation algorithms and targeted messaging. Highly adaptive conversational AI could push that influence much further.

Do people think persuasive AI becomes mostly beneficial or are we approaching genuinely manipulative systems?
