The combination of longer days, better weather and general motivation makes summer the natural season for tackling projects that have been on the list for months.

What are you working on? Home improvement, garden, workshop, electronics, anything. Where are you in the process and what has gone better or worse than expected?

Repainting the exterior woodwork on the house. An enormous job I keep finding excuses to delay. Am now three weeks in and about a quarter done. The prep work takes longer than the painting

Building a raised bed system in the garden. The construction was straightforward but deciding what to plant and in what rotation has turned into a whole area of learning

Fixing a damp issue in the cellar that has been there since we moved in. Getting into it properly for the first time. More extensive than I hoped but at least I understand it now

Building a workbench for the garage workshop. Simple project but the satisfaction of having a proper surface to work on will make everything else easier
