Following on from the summer project thread a few weeks ago: how is it going? This is the check-in thread for anyone who posted what they were planning to tackle and wants to update the community, or who is starting something new and wants to share.

Progress reports, setbacks, things that turned out harder than expected, things that turned out easier, specific questions if you have them.

The raised beds are built and planted. The courgettes are already trying to take over. The tomatoes are looking promising. Everything I planted that was supposed to be easy is doing well and everything that was supposed to be straightforward is not

Exterior woodwork repainting update: four weeks in and about 60 percent done. The painting is actually pleasant. It is the prep work that is never over. Always another section that needs sanding before you can get paint on it
