Deals culture has a problem. Fake sales where prices are inflated before being discounted to create the appearance of saving. Countdown timers that reset. Limited stock warnings on items with unlimited stock. The actual good deals are buried in the noise. Finding real value requires either knowing prices well enough to recognise genuine discounts or using tools that track price history.

CamelCamelCamel for Amazon shows historical prices and reveals whether the sale price is actually lower than usual. Honey browser extension tracks prices across retailers. Hotukdeals community surfaces deals that real people have verified. Which of these do you use? What methods work for finding deals that are genuinely good rather than just marketed as good?

Hotukdeals community voting system is brilliant because real people verify the deal is actually good before it surfaces. Much better signal than algorithmic deal aggregators
