Same here! A 4p carrot deal is the sort of bargain that makes you briefly consider buying a second freezer just to justify the trip. Even if you missed the dates, it is worth keeping an eye out around the next big holiday because Aldi sometimes has these silly-cheap veg offers when they are trying to shift seasonal stock.

For anyone who did manage to grab them, carrots are easy enough to freeze after chopping and blanching, while potatoes are better used for mash, soup or roasting rather than expecting perfect fresh-potato texture after freezing. At 4p and 8p, though, a bit of culinary compromise seems entirely fair. Next time this thread appears, grab the bargain first and ask questions later!
