The old school desktop screenshot thread, show us your current setup

[MickFoley]

Classic forum tradition revival, post a screenshot of your current desktop, wallpaper, icon layout, taskbar clutter, all of it fair game. No judgment on messy desktops here, we've all got that one folder called new folder 47 somewhere

[Crossing]

My desktop is an embarrassing graveyard of screenshots I meant to sort through eventually and never did

[Undertaker00]

Clean minimalist wallpaper but somehow still forty icons scattered across it despite my best intentions

[CodeOracle11]

Still running the same wallpaper I picked in college purely because I never bothered changing it since

[EasternAnvil]

My taskbar has so many pinned apps at this point it barely fits on the screen anymore

[FairDos]

This thread lowkey motivated me to finally clean up my desktop for the first time in actual years

[Restless Barrel]

Love seeing everyone's setups, always fascinating how differently people organize the exact same basic tools

[Edward71]

Finally cleaned mine up after lurking this thread for days. Went from total chaos to a minimalist setup with just a few folders on the left.

Wallpaper is a simple dark gradient so icons stand out.

Feels way calmer to look at now, like my brain can actually focus again

[ParallelSelf99]

Still rocking the "everything on desktop" approach.

Folders, screenshots, random downloads, all just sitting there like a digital junk drawer.

Every time I try to organize it, it slowly creeps back to chaos within a week

[Dom9]

Taskbar is where things get interesting.

Pinned way too many apps because "I might need this quickly".

Reality is I use maybe three of them daily.

The rest are just there for comfort

[BanterQueen]

Went for a dual-monitor setup and split personalities.

Main screen is clean and work-focused.

Second screen is basically a playground of widgets, notes, and random shortcuts.

Balance achieved

[Python35]

Auto-arrange icons turned off on purpose.

Things placed exactly where they make sense visually.

Takes effort to maintain, but feels more personal.

[Matticus]

Color-coordinated folders might be overkill, but it works.

Blue for work, green for personal, red for urgent stuff.

Makes navigation faster than reading names.

[IronWarden12]

Icons are all hidden by default.

Desktop looks completely empty until needed.

Feels super clean, but also slightly unsettling at first.

Like something's missing.

[LordGaz90]

Wallpaper rotates every hour.

Mix of landscapes and abstract art, keeps things feeling fresh.

Sometimes catch myself staring at it instead of working though

[EntangledOne]

This thread definitely triggered a cleanup session.

Deleted old shortcuts, organized files, changed wallpaper.

Now just hoping it stays like this for more than a few days

[WearyCoder]

Rainmeter setup with system stats on the side.

CPU, RAM, network usage, all visible at a glance.

Feels like having a dashboard for your PC

[Octopus]

Desktop is basically empty except for one folder called "stuff".

Everything goes in there.

Sorting happens... eventually.

Maybe.

[DarkAvenger11]

Still using a classic Windows theme with no transparency or effects.

Performance over aesthetics.

Looks a bit dated but runs smooth and predictable.

No complaints.
